Curriculum Vitae (CV)

A curriculum vitae, often referred to as a CV, is an elongated resume mainly used by students in the sciences or for applying to graduate school.  A CV tends to highlight your lab and/or classroom experience, your teaching experience, your presentations and in some cases, your technical background.

To prepare your CV, review our curriculum vitae example or stop by the CRC to review the book “How to Prepare Your Curriculum Vitae” located in our library.

A curriculum vitae is also used to apply for positions abroad, but this version concentrates on detailing your job experiences, and includes personal information not normally seen on a traditional American resume.
