Following the Alum Panels, in PAC 002, at noon, there will be a Champagne Book Party honoring Bill Barber and the latest publication of his book, A History of Economic Thought (1967, 2009).  Alan Gayer (CSS 1964) will speak at this event.  David Morgan will be the MC for these morning/early afternoon sessions.

Vans will be available on Wyllys Avenue, starting at 7:00 p.m., outside the Usdan Center, to take CSS'ers to the CSS Banquet, at the Inn at Middletown on Main Street.

The CSS Banquet will be at the Inn at Middletown, 70 Main Street, Middletown, CT 06457, at 7:30 p.m.  Drinks and Dinner, followed by a program arranged by CSS alums, tutors, and current students, from 1959-2012.  Alas, the Banquet is now fully booked, and no more tickets are available.

Housing

The Inn at Middletown is booked for this weekend, and, in the midst of the semester, there are no rooms available on campus.  There is, however, availability at many other hotels near Middletown, including the following:

Crowne Plaza, 100 Berlin Road, Cromwell, CT 06416  860 635-2000 http://www.crowneplaza.com

Rocky Hill Marriott, 100 Capital Blvd, Rocky Hill, Rocky Hill, CT  800 228-9290 or 860 257-6000  http://www.marriott.com

University Relations has booked a block of rooms at a reasonable price at the Marriott.  You need to mention that you are asking for a room in the block of rooms for “Wesleyan Homecoming.”  Last date to make reservations with discount: October 23, 2009.

See the Wesleyan website at http://www.wesleyan.edu/about/lodging.html for additional information on many more area hotels.
