19th-Century British Drawings

Among the DAC's 19th-century drawings by British artists are three by J.M.W. Turner (1775-1851): Scarborough, ca. 1820s, graphite; Grand Malvern Abbey and Gateway, n.d., crayon; and Skiddaw Over Solierey, n.d., graphite and wash. Other British artists represented in this way in the museum collection include George Chinnery (1774-1852), Two Pigs, n.d., graphite; David Wilkie (1785-1841), The Election, n.d., pen and ink; and Samuel Palmer (1805-1881), Homeward Star, ca. 1876, pen and ink.
