Italian Prints (1470-1530)In addition to woodcuts for Colonna's Hypnerotomachia and other prints by anonymous artists, the DAC Collection holds engravings by Zoan Andrea (Dancing Muses); Jacopo da Barbari (2); Nicolaus Béatrizet (5); Domenico Beccafumi (2); Bartolommeo Biscaino (2); Giulio di Bonasone (3); Giovanni da Brescia (1); Domenico and Giulio Campagnola (3); Gian Jacopo Caraglio (1); Nicolò della Casa (1); Marco Dente da Ravenna (3); Andrea Mantegna (Battle of the Sea Gods, Virgin and Child; Flagellation); Premier Engraver after Mantegna (2, including Four Dancing Muses); Master of the Die (7); Benedetto Montagna (1); Agostino da Musi (1); Antonio di Jacopo Pollaiuolo (Battle of the Nudes, the artist's only print; 50 impressions known, of which this example is relatively early); Marcantonio Raimondi (16, including one of the finest extant impressions of Plague in Crete); Cristofano Robetta (3); Agostino Veneziano (2); and Enea Vico (2).
