For DAC exhibitions of work by Keiji Shinohara and Jim Dine, Wesleyan students Elke Pessl and Deborah Stutz interviewed the artists, studied their works, and wrote catalog essays.
Catalogs published as permanent records of other DAC exhibitions also are integral to the museum's educational mission. One example of this is Phillip B. Wagoner's China and the West: Moments of Interaction and Change 1830-1930, published in conjunction with an exhibition organized by the Mansfield Freeman Center for East Asian Studies.
