In some years, the DAC invites a student to work during the summer as a Jim Dine Curatorial Intern. Endowed by John R. Jakobson (B.A. Wesleyan 1952, LL.D. 1989, Trustee Emeritus) in honor of his friend Jim Dine (whose work is well represented in the DAC Collection), this internship enables a student to work intensively with close guidance by museum staff. The Jim Dine Curatorial Internship is awarded in a programmatically driven way based upon the DAC's project-oriented needs and its staff's first-hand knowledge of the specific aptitudes and skills that a student has demonstrated in other capacities at the museum (e.g., as a student researcher).
