The exhibition displayed recent purchases of American prints and photographs representing the range of 19th century U.S. graphic arts. Included were works published by Currier & Ives, and reproductive prints after such artists as Thomas Cole, Lilly Martin Spencer and George Caleb Bingham.

Exact Imaginations: The Oriental in 19th-century Photographs of Southeast Asia
This exhibition illustrated how Victorian photographers in India and Burma contributed to Western perceptions of an exotic and mysterious East. It was organized by Son Tran (B.A. Wesleyan 1995).
