Icons of Modernity: Building New York

This exhibition, curated by Min Lee '97, displayed images by twentieth-century artists captivated by urban modernization. Included were photographs and prints of skyscrapers, bridges, and industrial subjects by Abbott, Bourke-White, Cook, Lozowick, and others.

Imaginary Prisons: Piranesi's Carceri

These large etchings, from a set of sixteen that Piranesi first produced in 1744, were among the first to explore hallucinatory perspectives in visionary architectural subjects.
