Salon 2018: Selections from the Davison Art Center Collection

Jean Le Pautre (French, 1618–1682). Cinquième Journée from Divertissements donnés par le Roi (Entertainments Given by the King), 1676. Engraving. DAC accession number 1962.40.1.5. Friends of the Davison Art Center funds, 1962. Open Access Image from the Davison Art Center, Wesleyan University (photo: M. Johnston).

The Davison Art Center exhibition for fall 2018 presented a fascinating selection of artworks from the permanent collection. Focusing on the DAC's deep and broad holdings of European and American prints, Salon 2018 featured a rich mix of works, many of them seldom seen in DAC public exhibitions.

This first full exhibition for the 2018–2019 year followed a short-term installation of works from the permanent collection for two special purposes in September.
