Welcome to the Homepage of the Wesleyan University Democrats The Wesleyan Democrats are a group of students committed to affecting change in the political culture of our country. More than merely a club of students with an interest in politics, the Wesleyan Democrats aim to involve ourselves directly in matters of politics. We host educational programming on campus, bring prominent speakers to Wesleyan, provide volunteers and assistance to Democratic candidates for elected office, and publish a biweekly newsletter that covers national and local politics. The Wesleyan Democrats do not operate in a vacuum. We work extensively with other groups, both on and off campus. This semester we are working very closely with the Career Resource Center, the non-partisan advocacy group Campus Progress, and a variety of other organizations. We also have relationships with various other College Democrats chapters in Connecticut, the College Democrats of America, the Connecticut Democratic Party, and several Democrats who are running for Congress. The Wesleyan Democrats are an ideal group for anyone with an interest in politics or public policy, or anyone who is concerned with the direction that our country has been moving during the past five years.
