This page will continue to be "under construction" for a while, but it's high time we got some content up here. There are more than 300 alum of Wesleyan's EAS Program. Many of you have been back to campus to visit, and a few have returned to speak right here at the Center; this year, David Smith and Sigrid Schmalzer both joined us to share their experiences and research in China. We hope to see many more of you soon.

The idea is to use this space to faciltiate the building of a more robust community among EAS Alum, as well as better connections among alum and current students and faculty. To that end, we offer the following resources and information. Please let us know what else would be useful!

East Asian Studies Alumni Listserv

We have established a listserv, "eas-alum", that all EAS Alum can use to communicate with one another. To subscribe, click here and follow directions.

Clubs and other groups

We will endeavor to keep track of information on any EAS-affiliated groups out there -- if, that is, you let us know! -- whether formal or informal.
  • Wesleyan in China Club. Composed, I think, mostly of folks in Beijing? The contact person is Kerry Holohan; that's: kholohan "at" wesleyan.edu.

Photo Gallery

As of this writing, we're still ironing out the final technical kinks, but to the left there you should see a link for our Center Photo Gallery. Alum are very welcome to submit photos of what you've been doing or seeing in Asia, or even elsewhere.
