About
The Freeman Asian Scholars Association (FASA) was founded in September 1995 in relation with the Wesleyan Freeman Scholars Program. It is composed of 88 Freeman Scholars recruited from eleven Asian nations and regions included in the program. Its missions include:

To serve as a support group for incoming Freeman scholars, to help them to adjust to their new environment by aiding them both socially and academically.

To assist the Office of Admissions in recruiting applicants for the Wesleyan Freeman Asian Scholars Program and popularizing the program in Asia.

To strengthen the network of current Freeman Asian Scholars and alumni.

To serve as a medium to introduce the cultures of our respective countries through the cooperation with other student groups on campus.

To serve as the official representative of the Freeman Asian Scholars in relation to Wesleyan’s administration, the Office of International Student Programs, the media and Wesleyan’s community as a whole.
