Feminist, Gender, and Sexuality Studies

The Feminist, Gender, and Sexuality Studies Department is administered by the chair and other members of the program's core faculty. Core faculty are those who are actively involved in the program, who teach FGSS courses, advise FGSS majors and senior theses, and may serve as program chair. The program sponsors an annual symposium, the FGSS Salon, and the Diane Weiss Memorial Lecture.

Remembering Professor Christina Crosby

On Tuesday, January 5th, 2021 the FGSS department lost our fierce, brilliant, and committed friend, teacher, mentor, and colleague, Professor Christina Crosby. Professor Crosby was a founding member of Wesleyan University's Women Studies and helped the changes that led to its becoming Feminist, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. She was the heart and soul of our department. Until the end of her life, she worked to make the world a better place.
