Recent Alumni Accomplishments

In 2012 Wesleyan alumni, led by director Benh Zeitlen, came together to make the film Beasts of the Southern Wild. Upon the film's release it quickly turned into an arthouse success story, crossing over to a wider audience and receiving widespread acclaim. It was nominated for, and won, many awards, including four Independent Spirit Awards, three Gotham Independent Film Awards, and four Oscars.
