The CFA presents a visiting artist series including music, dance, theater, and visual art; supports the music, dance, theater, art history, and studio art departments; supports various student groups who use the CFA venues; and manages the Institute for Curatorial Practice in Performance (ICPP) low-residency graduate program. The CFA also supports special projects and conferences throughout the year.

Administrative Component (up to 6 hours per week, paid at the rate of $10.25 per hour) The intern will assist the Interim Associate Director and Director in the overall administration of a multi-disciplinary arts center. The intern will learn the fundamentals of grant writing/reporting by working on drafting grant proposals; help advance and support visiting artist engagements; support marketing efforts for the visiting artist series; and other projects to be mutually decided upon.

Educational Component (2 hours per week, unpaid): The intern will learn about the management of a performing arts center through attending meetings such as staff meetings, marketing committee, and advance meetings for visiting artists as scheduling permits.

Minimum qualifications: Excellent writing, organization and communication skills; must be resourceful, detail-oriented and able to meet deadlines; proficient in Word and Excel.

Preferred qualifications: Knowledge and experience in one or more of the performing arts and arts administration
