Job Title: Internship in Arts - Programming

Qualifications/Description: The CFA presents a visiting artist series including music, dance, theater and visual arts; supports the music, dance, theater, art history and studio art departments; and various student groups who use the CFA venues. The CFA also supports special projects and conferences throughout the year. Unpaid Internship (7 hours per week): The intern will learn about the over-all arts management of a performing arts center. Intern, will attend weekly staff meetings, marketing committee meetings, and advanced logistics meetings. Intern will have the opportunity to conduct research on artists and the arts field, while pursuing their own research interests. Paid Internship (5 hours per week): The intern will work with the Associate Director on administrative/research projects related to season planning, special initiatives and management of events. . This includes research on potential visiting artists, residency development, and contracting. To apply, please send a resume and cover letter. Minimum qualifications: Experience in administration; excellent writing, organization and communication skills; must be resourceful, detail-oriented and able to meet deadlines; proficient in Word and Excel. Preferred qualifications: Knowledge and experience in one or more of the performing arts and/or arts administration.
Department Hours: 10AM-6PM Hours/Week: 12 hours per week: 7 unpaid and 5 paid at $8.50/hour
