Qualifications/Description: The Reasoning and Decision Making Lab in the Department of Psychology is seeking a Research Coordinator for the 2013-2014 Academic Year. The ideal candidate will be a sophomore or junior in Fall 2013, and planning to major in Psychology. Facility with Macintosh computers and skill in Microsoft Word and Excel are critical. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, comfort working alone, and interpersonal skills are essential. A background in Cognitive Psychology (PSYC 220) is highly desirable, as is an interest in the study of human decision making and reasoning about probabilities. Statistical and programming skills, while not expected, would be very useful. The position largely involves developing experiment protocols, collecting data from adult participants, and managing the data. The position is for 10 hours per week. Most work hours will be during the business day, but a few hours per week will be in the evening or on the weekend. The ideal candidate will also be able to flexibly allocate some time during the week to respond to lab-related needs as they arise.
