E~Print Quick Reference Guide

E~Print is a secure web-based system for presenting reports to the end users.

Reports are archived on the server and can be accessed at any time by the user.

Access your Web Browser -- Netscape or Internet Explorer

Use the address: eprint.wesleyan.edu

Supply the following information:

User ID: same as FRS Operator ID (tab after entering the ID #)

Password: same as FRS password

Repository: FRS

Using the mouse click on the Enter button

You can logout at any time using the Logout Link at the top right-hand corner of the page.

Every page/screen in e~print (even the login page) has a link to Help

The help page is context sensitive (i.e. if you need help on the Report List page - the help will explain the Report List page)

Using Help

Repository

After a successful login in the user will be taken directly to the Repository List. This screen will list the reports to which the user has access. For the majority of the users at Wesleyan University there will be one type of report - FBM092 - "SL summary and detail". The most current version of the report is access directly from this screen. To view reports in the archive, click on the 'drill' icon. This will allow you to choose between other occurrences of the report.

This page will list all occurrences of the report located on the e~print server.

Basics of the E~print screen

 

Title Bar

Blue Block includes:

screen/area name

repository name

user name

Below the blue box are the bout, help and logout touch sensitive links

 

Navigation Bar

Click on a different section of the navigation bar to return to that screen/area of e~print. The back button on your browser will also work however it is a good idea to use the navigation bar.

 

Use the Icons as a guide

Simply point and click to:

 

    Retrieve a PDF file to view in Acrobat Reader

    Download the TXT version of a report

Download the CSV version of a report

  "Drill down" for detail (See Report List)

   Use a page key to pick pages (Search Report)

 

Using a Page Key

If the 'looking glass' icon is an option on the report line, then you can select pages of the report to view. Click on the 'looking glass' and choose ONE of the options.

Click on the boxes next to the account(s) chosen to be viewed

Or….Skip to a specific value in the GO box

If the Next button is on the screen use it to move on to more account number options.

When the selections have been made click on the Get the Report Icon and the user will be brought to the Validation Page/screen

 

Using the Validation Page

If satisfied with your selections click the appropriate icon.

                     

To backtrack and change your selections use the e~print navigation bar.

The validation page will not appear if no page key was used.

Viewing and Printing a Report

When you have completed your selection e~print will use Acrobat Reader to allow the user to view and/or print the report.

One of the best features of the e~print system is that you do not have to print your reports on a monthly basis. Reports will remain on the e~print server and be available for review at any time of the day. If you find the need to print a page of the report use the Acrobat Reader print features.

Netscape

When using Netscape with e~print the reader will load directly into the browser.

Use the back button of the browser to return to the e~print screens

Internet Explorer

When using Internet Explorer you will need to configure Acrobat Reader to run outside the browser.

Click on the browser to return to e~print.

The user can consult Acrobat Reader's Help at any time while in the Reader.

Logging out of e~print

Click on the Logout link in the top, right-hand corner of any page.

Log out if your browser will remain open.

Automatic logout when you close the browser.
