FOODWATERLIFE
Lucy and Jorge Orta
Presented at the Zilkha Gallery, Spring 2013
The work of Lucy and Jorge Orta explores major concern which define the 21st century: biodiversity, environment and climate change, and communication. FOODWATERLIFE explores how the artists' unique visual language tackles these global issues which are affecting our lives. Their work aims to communicate to audiences beyond the field of contemporary art and demonstrate the importance of art as a creative agent for awareness and change. This exhibition will be the Ortas' first ever solo show in the United States and will be at Wesleyan University's Zilhka Gallery January 22-March 3, 2013. The show is curated by Ginger Duggan and Judy Fox of curatorsquared.
