GIS TrainingWesleyan campus community members can take unlimited ESRI Virtual Campus courses or their Live Training Seminars (via the web). Virtual Campus courses are asynchronous online courses authored by ESRI. An access code must be obtained to take a Virtual Campus course (for Live Training Seminars, no access code is necessary). Contact Jolee West ( jwest@wesleyan.edu, x2763) to obtain a code--be sure to indicate in your request the name of the course(s) you want to take.Off-campus UseWesleyan's ArcGIS limited site license includes 10 hardware dongles, or keys, that permit a user to use ArcGIS, ArcEditor, or ArcInfo off-campus, such as in the field where a VPN connection to campus is not available. Hardware keys are available for field-use by faculty or students doing thesis research. Additionally, ArcPad provides database access, mapping, GIS, and GPS integration on mobile devices. ESRI Annual ConferenceThe limited site license also include 3 complimentary passes to the annual ESRI User Conference. To obtain a pass, contact Jolee West (x2763, jwest@wesleyan.edu).
