Program Advising
Naomi Kamins, Assistant
Director for Student Services, is available to answer questions about courses,
registration, the matriculation process, degree requirements, plans of study,
and general questions about final projects and essays. Students are
encouraged to contact Naomi on a regular basis, and students who are considering
applying for matriculation are strongly encouraged to speak with Naomi prior
to applying to matriculate.

GLSP Student Support
The GLSP offers the following workshops to help acquaint students with the
resources available at Wesleyan and to make the transition to graduate study.
New Student Orientation
Prior to the start of each term, the Assistant Dean and the advising staff meet with students in an
informal setting designed to foster better understanding of the program and its
policies and procedures. Students are encouraged to bring questions, comments,
and suggestions to the meetings and take this opportunity to meet fellow
students as well as the advising staff.

Library Research Workshop
GLSP students meet with a University Reference librarian from
Olin Library for an introduction to the University research technology. Students learn
how to use the Library's on-line services. All students
and prospective students are welcome.

One-on-One Personal Research Sessions with
a Librarian
The Wesleyan libraries offer Personal Research Sessions in which a GLSP
student may meet one-on-one with a librarian to work on a particular research
project. These sessions are offered on your schedule: click here to

session today. Final Essay and Project
Workshop Series
The GLSP conducts a series of
information sessions to provide assistance and answer questions
from students completing the final essay or project for the MALS or CAS.
These sessions will answer questions about the guidelines, requirements,
timeline for completion, and will provide support in completing the proposal.
We encourage all students enrolled in the 30-unit plan to attend the full series
of
information sessions at least once.
