Students can take non-credit courses
in the Division of Continuing Studies through
The
Center for Continuing Studies, the
Certificate Programs, or the
Academic Institutes. The array of offerings in the Division of
Continuing Studies offers students who want to remain connected to a learning
community the opportunity to investigate new areas, participate in educational
travel, or complete a collection of courses focused in one particular area.
The mission of the
Project to Increase Mastery of Mathematics and Science (PIMMS) is
to improve mathematics and science education for all students throughout Connecticut
by offering high-quality professional development programs to teachers.
The
Graduate Liberal Studies Program Alumni Network of Wesleyan University plans
faculty talks, cultural events and educational activities. The network
strives to present intellectual conversation in an informal social setting.
Other efforts include fundraising, career advising and networking, and recruitment of prospective students.
The Center for the Arts (CFA) houses Wesleyan University's arts departments and
serves as a cultural center for the campus, Middletown and the region by presenting
a wide variety of events and exhibitions, ranging from student and faculty works to
internationally acclaimed ensembles. The mission of the visiting artist series is to
present the highest caliber of artists who extend and/or enhance Wesleyan's curriculum
with a focus on those who are testing the boundaries of their art forms, who are true
innovators in their fields, and whose work emanates from the widest spectrum of world
cultures.
Wesleyan offers graduate programs within specialized
academic areas, including ethnomusicology and departments within the
division of mathematics and natural sciences. Contact the office
Graduate Student Services for more information.
