   MARY ALICE HADDAD

 

Mary Alice Haddad is an assistant professor of government and East Asian studies at Wesleyan University in Connecticut.  She is author of Politics and Volunteering in Japan: A Global Perspective (Cambridge University Press, 2007).  She has received fellowships and awards from the National Endowment for the Humanities, Mellon Foundation, Institute of International Education (Fulbright), and was a Harvard Academy Scholar.  She has also published articles in Comparative Political Studies, Journal of Asian Studies, Nonprofit and Voluntary Sector Quarterly and others.
