In this class, children and parents work together to create and
carry out musical works. The teacher facilitates the process by
animating some elements crucial to music composition, including
silence and noise, groups and soloists, pulses and events, and
melody and accompaniment. Children and parents take ownership of
musical pieces and perform them in each class. No additional
materials necessary.
Tiny Tappers

8 weeks starting September 19 | $80 | Ages 5 to 7
This class for 5 to 7 year old boys and girls starts with a
center floor warm-up, followed by across the floor tap
technique, and concludes with combinations to age appropriate
music. This class is great exercise, builds social skills, and
is just plain fun for all! |

Music Blossoms: Cycle of
Seasons

Age 1 to 5 | Enrollment limited to 10
Share the joy of music making with your child/ren in a mixed age
setting using Musikgarten's acclaimed curriculum. Move, listen,
sing, chant and play instruments with your child/ren while
developing basic music skills such as pitch, beat and rhythm and
nourishing your child/ren's body, mind and spirit. A family
packet including a CD and a song book with activities will be
provided to support bringing home this repertoire of musical
play.
Music Blossoms: Introduction
to Keyboards I

$150 for first parent and child; $100 each
additional child. Cost of materials included.
Age 5 to 8 | Enrollment limited to 6
Using Musikgarten's keyboard curriculum, this introduction to
the keyboards will bridge an early childhood music and movement
experience and a groundwork for future growth with the keyboard
or other instruments. Time will be spent building keyboard
skills as well as developing aural, rhythmic and tonal skills
through vocal play, dancing and drumming and singing in an
ensemble setting. Materials include a 32 page Keyboard
Children's Book 1 with 8 notation games, a listening CD and a
practice CD. These materials will be used for Keyboards I & II.
It is recommended that each student have access to a keyboard or
piano for practice.
