Giving to GSAC

Your gift, no matter what the amount, will aid in the revitalization of the North End and bring the arts to community children and families. The goal is to have all sectors of the community participate, including individuals, businesses, organizations, and government. High participation in the campaign is a sign that the wider community supports GSAC’s vision for an invigorated North End neighborhood, which will ultimately benefit all of Middletown, the region and its citizens.

GSAC is organized under the auspices of Wesleyan University and will eventually become a separate non-profit organization. To accomplish this, we need $2.6 million in contributions from public and private sources. This includes $1.6 million for the renovation of the former school building (which has been raised) that will be the center’s permanent home, and another $1 million to ensure that the programming, need-based scholarships and operational costs we anticipate will be met during the center’s first five years ($553K has been raised). Gifts from individuals, like you, will make a big difference in the early years of the center. Your gift is a gift of hope and will ensure many seasons of growth and enrichment for residents of all ages in the North End community and beyond.

Every gift is important to the future of the Green Street Arts Center, but it's up to you to decide on the size of your gift. Things to consider are your financial resources, as well as your belief in the vision and goals of the center. Whether your gift is $25 or $25,000, your gift will have a lasting impact on the people and programs that will come together to create this valuable community resource.

You may pay your pledge with cash, check, appreciated securities or credit card. You may make one gift or monthly, quarterly or yearly payments on pledges of $1,000 or more. In order to increase your ability to make a substantial gift to the Green Street Arts Center, consider making a pledge with payments spread over one to three years. Many corporations will match employee and retiree contributions to the Green Street Arts Center. You may be able to double the impact of your gift by contacting the human resources office to obtain a matching gift form. Send the form, along with your gift, to the Green Street Arts Center.
