A Special Event for Filmmakers and Film Enthusiasts!
PROJECT GREEN STREET: AN EMERGING FILMMAKERS SYMPOSIUM
FRIDAY & SATURDAY, July 11 & 12
Come to Green Street for a weekend of events dedicated to emerging
filmmakers!
FRIDAY, July 11, 7pm
Y Nada Mas: Film Screening and Q & A with Justin Liberman
Green Street teaching artist and North End resident shares his
award-winning film, Y Nada Mas, a film composed of four vignettes
depicting the Mexican-American man and his place in society. Inspired by
Liberman’s experiences in Venice Beach, CA, each story captures the
alienation and undaunted strength of a culture struggling for its
identity. Consisting predominantly of reformed felons and ex-gang
members, the cast infuses a rare authenticity and understanding into the
film’s characters, bringing an unabashed sense of reality to the piece.
Free, but space is limited. Advance reservations are strongly suggested.
SATURDAY, July 12, 10am—1pm
A Beginners Guide to Documentary Filmmaking with Jacob Bricca and Lisa
Molomot

University; Molomot teaches at Yale. Their work as editors, producers
and directors has been exhibited on PBS, Discovery Channel, A&E Network,
and at film festivals worldwide.
