Rental Information

The Green Street Arts Center is available for rent by organizations or individuals for a variety of uses: rehearsals, performances, parties, receptions, meetings, trainings, workshops, classes, or anything else you might need it for.  There are many different spaces available for rent to suit your needs.

Performance Studio - 34'X32' - flexible black box theatre - has removable risers, removable dance floor, 14'X10' drop down screen, projector, sound system, baby-grand piano, theatrical lighting, seats 80 people auditorium style, allows 120 people standing, also can be configured for tables and chairs.
Suggested Uses: Theatre, dance & music presentations, meetings, parties, & classes

Multi-Purpose Room - 24'X18' - blackboard, upright piano, tables and chairs, seats 35 people with chairs, 68 people standing, can be configured for tables and chairs.
Suggested Uses: Meetings, classes, parties

Group Music Room - 28'X11' - Has upright pianos, chairs, and music stands.
Suggested Uses: Music rehearsals, lessons or classes

Dry Arts Studio - 32'X23' - tables and chairs, seats 60 people with chairs, 80 people standing.
Suggested Uses: Art classes using dry materials, meetings

Wet Arts Studio - 25'X23' - has sink for clean-up, tables and chairs, seats 30 people with chairs, 50 people standing
Suggested Uses: Art classes using paints and other wet materials, meetings

Dance Studio - 32'X24' - has ballet bars, floor to ceiling mirrors on one wall, cubby holes for storage, sound system and speakers, hardwood floors
Suggested Uses: Dance and yoga classes, martial arts classes & Tai Chi
Please note: There is no food or drinks allowed in this room including chewing gum, and no sneakers or street shoes allowed at any time.

Parking Information
Lot parking is available in front of the building and across the street in an adjacent lot.  Street parking is available on Green Street, and metered parking is available within one block's walking distance on Main Street.  Parking maps are available at Green Street's reception desk.

Rental Rates

Performance Studio Rental Rates
Non-Profit Organizations:
$55 per hour for the first six hours, $45 per hour for any additional hours

Profit Organizations:
$105 per hour for the first six hours, $85 per hour for any additional hours

Individual Rate for Individuals, and Parents of After School students
$45 per hour for the first six hours, $35 per hour for any additional hours

Rental of the Performance Studio includes set up of up to 40 chairs and four tables, use of the adjoining Green Room and two dressing rooms.  There is no restroom in either dressing room or Green Room.  Restrooms are located down the hall from the room.  It also includes one microphone, cable and stand, general lighting, overhead projector, and CD/DVD/VHS players.

Any technical needs or addition set up beyond the basic support listed above is available at an additional cost of $20 per hour for a technical support engineer.  Please review the Equipment Rental Rates for other costs.

All Other Rooms & Studios (includes use of existing furniture and equipment located within the room)
Non-Profit Organizations:
$25 per hour for the first six hours, $20 per hour for any additional hours

Profit Organizations:
$35 per hour for the first six hours, $30 per hour for any additional hours

Individual Rate for Individuals, and Parents of After School students:
$15 per hour for the first six hours, $10 per hour for any additional hours

Rent additional rooms and save!! A Special Second Room Rate of $15 per hour per room applies to Arts Cafe, Multi-Purpose Room, Group Music Rooms, Dry or Wet Arts Studios, and Dance Studio when rented as a second room.

Equipment Rental Rates
-Photocopying will be charge at 10 cents per page.
-Our pianos are tuned twice per year.  If you would like an additional tuning, it is available for $135.

Office Hours
Monday-Friday: 9am to 5pm

Hours subject to change.  Charges below are based on available staffing in the space.  The building may be available for rentals outside of office hours, including weekends, for an additional staffing fee of $20 per hour.  Please call for availability.

Reservations and Payment
The completed event form must be returned to the Green Street Arts Center in order for us to review the reservation.  Once reviewed, we will contact you with any questions.  A contract with the full rental price listed will be sent to you.  A reservation of the facility(ies) will be confirmed in writing when GSAC/WESU has received a signed copy of the contract and 5the security deposit.  Full payment must be received within thirty days of receipt of invoice.

Deposits
Green Street requires a refundable Security Deposit, in addition to the rental fee for the following:

-Meetings, Rehearsals, Private Classes: $50
-Performances: $75
-Parties, workshops, any event with food, whole building events: $100

To be paid one week prior to your event.  The Security Deposit may be refunded either in full or part minus any expenses for damages, losses, cleaning expenses, extra rental time, unapproved building usage, extraordinary maintenance or repairs, security charges deemed necessary after inspection within one week after the event.  Green Street will provide detail of the charges against the Security Deposits; any additional charges in excess of the Security Deposit will be billed to User.  Failure to make any attempts to pay additional costs will result in denial of future facility booking requests and possible litigation.

Insurance
All organizations renting facilities are required to provide proof of insurance in the amounts stated in the contract.

Set- Up
Green Street will not provide computers (for presentations, etc.) and renters are responsible for bringing copies of any material that needs to be distributed for any purpose.  Renters are also responsible for providing the Green Street Arts Center with detailed information regarding the set up of the event and any other details that need to be arranged.

Clean-Up
The premises must be left in as good a condition and repair as found at the beginning of the rental period.  All areas used must be cleaned and left in an "as found or better" condition.  All trash must be removed from the building and placed in an appropriate dumpster or other outside trash container.  All floors must be swept and/or vacuumed after use of space.  Renter must immediately take care of any major spillage.  If Renter is unable to remove spillage, GSAC will have area professionally cleaned at Renter's expense.

Alcohol
Renters may not bring alcohol into Green Street or serve it during a rental event.

Decorations
Renter shall not (a) cause or permit the facilities to be injured, marred, or in any manner defaced or changed; (b) place any nails, hooks, tacks, screws or other fasteners into any part of the facilities; (c) place or permit to be placed signs on painted walls in any part of the facilities.  No decorations such as posters, pictures or banners are to be fastened to walls, woodwork or curtains inside or out.

Cancellations, No-Shows and Over Time Charges
In the event of a cancellation, the deposit will be forfeited if the cancellation is less than 24 hours before the rental date.

In the event of a No-Show, where a client does not alert Green Street Arts Center that they will not be using the space for their scheduled rental, the deposit will be forfeited and additional charge of $50 will be billed to the client in addition to any staffing charges incurred.

If a rental runs over the reserved hours, the client will be charged double for that time, including additional staffing charges.

Catering Information
The Green Street Arts Center does not provide catering services for its rentals.  However, we can recommend some local caterers through our Membership Program.  The renter/caterer is responsible for supplying all necessary equipment or utensils, and is responsible for clean up to ensure that the space is returned to the condition it was in when the renter arrived.  There is only a small kitchen available, which has a sink and a microwave.
