Arts in the Garden
WEDNESDAYS, 5:30–6:30pm
June 25—July 23 (no workshop on July 9)
Enjoy the pleasure of a summer evening during this weekly series of
participatory arts workshops held outdoors in the Mary Susan Gawlak
Memorial Garden at Green Street (51 Green St) and at the Erin Street
Community Garden (corner of Erin and High Streets). Arts in the Garden
offers free, fun activities for people of all ages. Light refreshments
will be served; children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. In
the event of rain, Arts in the Garden will take place indoors at the
Green Street Arts Center.

Pastel Drawing Workshop
SATURDAY, June 21, 10am–1pm
Tuition: $50 ($40 for members, seniors
& students) | Age 18+
Join pastel artist Joanne Agostinelli for a three-hour workshop in
pastel technique. This class is suitable for anyone who would like to
experiment with soft pastels regardless of their art experience or
ability. The workshop will cover the characteristics of pastels and
techniques for using them. There will be ample opportunity to experiment
in class and try out various techniques. Students are asked to bring
their own pastels (soft pastels only—no oil pastels) and paper. For a

CultureKids (Ages 7-11)
Instructor: Natasha Miles
WEDNESDAYS, 2-4pm
5-week session, June 30—August 1
Tuition: $100 | Limit: 15 students
Use your imagination and have fun with art while exploring world
cultures! Learn about different ways to work with paint, build drawing
skills and have fun with clay and collage. Create an innovative body of
work with focus on individual cultural, social and imaginative ideas.
