November 2–4
Dear Wesleyan Families,

Homecoming/Family Weekend offers members of our extended family a taste of the extraordinary vitality of this community. Students’ families attend regularly scheduled classes and meet faculty and administrators in both academic and social settings. Alumni visit old haunts and connect with each other at special seminars, performances and social gatherings. Everyone can join the festivities and help cheer our student-athletes as they engage Little Three rival Williams.
This year’s celebration will be my first as Wesleyan’s 16th president. In fact, I will be inaugurated as the weekend begins, on Friday, November 2, at 3 p.m. I have chosen “Liberal Education and Public Life” as the theme for this event because I believe so strongly that Wesleyan can build students’ capacity for leadership. The education I received here shaped my own life and work, and I want all our students to have a similarly transformative experience. I look forward to your partnership in this endeavor.
Thank you for being a part of Wesleyan’s past, present, and future. I hope you will take the opportunity to join us for Homecoming/Family Weekend.
With best wishes,
