Diagnostic laboratory testing is provided at the Health Center. All laboratory tests must be ordered by a physician, a nurse practitioner, or a physician’s associate. Most lab work is performed on-site, such as urinalysis, mono, strep throat, glucose, pregnancy testing.  Quest Diagnostics, Inc. provides other diagnostic testing ordered by our practitioners. University Health Plans student insurance or other private health insurance generally covers the cost of external reference lab services.  The office staff can provide students with a "superbill" to file insurance claims. 

The Health Center charges a $5.00 specimen processing fee for all tests sent to outside labs. This fee is billed direclty to student accounts.
