Myriam Fernandes '00: The Perks at Medical School; a Trip to Brazil

Brazil was amazing. I learned a lot about their health care systems (public vs private) and their community projects in Pediatrics and Obstetrics Gynecology . I traveled on weekends to Rio de Janeiro and Bahia.  It was wonderful.

I am so happy that I decided to apply for this fellowship / vacation. These kinds of opportunities are common and offer a change of pace as well as a wealth  of firsthand information. Plan on hearing from  me again and again  as I move around the world.

Yes I do plan to finish Yale Medical School on time
