How
do you know you are really in medical school? At the University of Connecticut
Health Center a ceremony in the Fall of your first year makes your presence
known to the entire community, but places the heavy responsibility of the
Hippocratic Oath squarely on your shoulders.
I had the pleasure to attend the “Coating” ceremony for the incoming class of Fall ’01. Fritz Estinfa, a member of the first HPPI class and the first student to go from HPPI pre-frosh to UConn Medical School, was the happy recipient of his first white coat.
Fritz
has returned to Wesleyan often to mentor HPPI students and recall his life at
Wes U He is a wealth of information and always willing to relate his current
experiences in medical school
