Wesleyan Student Privileges
Courses at Wesleyan
Eligible faculty and administrative staff and their spouse or qualified
domestic partner, are permitted to register in Wesleyan courses as follows:

With the permission of a Graduate Liberal
Studies (GLS) program advisor, up to two GLS courses (generally six credits)
per semester during the academic year or in a summer school session without
payment of tuition. Eligible students may take more than two courses, but will
be expected to pay the tuition for courses beyond six credits. The GLS
program and classes are described at

Matriculation into the Master of Arts in Liberal
Studies (M.A.L.S.) or Certificate of Advanced Studies (C.A.S.) programs is
subject to the terms and conditions of the GLS program.

B.A., M.A., or Ph.D. courses subject to terms
and conditions of course enrollment. Those who wish to be accepted as a
full-time candidate for the B.A., M.A. or Ph.D. are required to go through the
regular admission process.
Opportunities for Training
Information Technology Services (ITS) conducts computer-related courses (at
introductory, intermediate, and advanced levels), in the use of software in use
at Wesleyan. Notices are sent when courses of general interest are scheduled.
Departments may also request customized training in the use of new equipment or
programs. ITS maintains a list of its training courses on its web site at
http://www.wesleyan.edu/its/training.
The university frequently schedules campus seminars and workshops on topics
such as leadership, interviewing, ergonomics, writing, wellness and health,
financial planning, and time and stress management. Notices and enrollment
information are published when workshops and seminars are scheduled.
Programs for Educational Advancement
Administrative staff members whose FTE is at least .75 are eligible to be
reimbursed for up to $1,500 per year for successful completion of up to two
courses per semester at other accredited colleges and universities.
Reimbursement is limited if tuition is reimbursed by other assistance (e.g., G.I.
Bill, research grant, fellowship, etc.). Additionally, the costs of books,
other course materials, parking, and graduation expenses are not covered.
To apply for this benefit please submit a tuition reimbursement application
form before enrolling. A fee schedule must be provided along with the
application form. After the course(s) has been completed provide to Human
Resources grade reports, evaluations, or transcripts indicating successful
completion.
