Employee Assistance Programs

We are pleased to announce effective April 1, 2009, Wesleyan University will be partnering with The Wellness Corporation, a provider of confidential Employee Assistance Programs (EAP).

Free of Charge

Our new Employee Assistance Program will provide all Wesleyan University faculty and staff and all members of their households the opportunity to see or speak with an EAP counselor free of charge. Counselors can address a wide variety of issues, such as:

  • Relationship Difficulties
  • Stress
  • Substance Abuse
  • Balancing Work/Life
  • Grief and Loss
  • Parenting
  • Emotional Concerns
  • Coping with Change
  • Family Conflicts
  • In addition, Wesleyan University's EAP also provides other services,
    such as:

        Budget and debt assistance;    
        New parent transition services;
        Resource and referral services for a variety of work life issues including child care, elder care, and pet sitters;
        Personal financial consultation services;
        Legal consultation and referral services; and
        On-line resource programs at www.wellnessworklife.com. To log in and register, use "Wesleyan University" as the company code.

    All services are confidential; no one will know you used the services unless you choose to inform him or her.  More detailed information describing the program and number of sessions will be posted on the HR website under Benefits.

    To contact the new EAP toll free, please call (800) 828-6025.  An EAP counselor is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

    This program is funded by savings generated from competitive insurance renewals. Representatives from Wellness Corporation will hold orientation meetings on campus for those who would like to learn more about the program.
