POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT
JOB TITLE:Assistant Football Coach
DEPARTMENT:Physical Education Department
GRADE:
RANGE:Competitive compensation commensurate with experience and qualifications.
TYPICAL DUTIES:Under the direction of the Head Coach, the Assistant Football Coach will be responsible for:
  • Practice planning and significant input into game planning, administrative responsibilities, film analysis, and recruiting.
  • Recruit and mentor scholar-athletes who are capable of succeeding in a highly competitive academic environment.
  • Coordinate weekend visitations by prospective student athletes.

    This is a full-time, non-faculty, multi-year position.

  • MINIMUM DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree and 3 years coaching experience. Basic computer skills. Coaching philosophy compatible with the goals and objectives of the Wesleyan University Department of Physical Education and Athletics, and the New England Small College Athletic Conference.     PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Master's degree and college level coaching experience. Previous experience with digital film analysis, experience working with a multicultural student population.

    COMPETENCIES: Strong leadership skills, excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills, integrity.
