For a disability of longer than six months, eligible faculty and staff, as defined above, may receive coverage for additional benefits provided under the University's long-term disability insurance program, which is administered by Wesleyan's Long-Term Disability insurance provider in coordinatin with Social Security. Employees approved for long-term disability will continue to receive long-term disability benefits as long as they are medically approved. Staff members' employment will end when their short-term disability expires. All employees on long-term disability will be eligible to participate in the group health insurance plan until age 65.
