The Wesleyan Incentive Points Program is a great way for you and your spouse/partner to motivate yourself to take positive steps toward a healthier life.  You will be rewarded for participating in health improvement programs and completing various milestones.  By actively participating, you will be eligible to earn points that can be redeemed for premium savings.

How does it work?

  • Log into the your personal CIGNA website:    MyCigna

  • Scroll to the box that says “Earn Points, Get Rewards.  Click on "Start Today" and you are ready to get go!

The welcome page shows a list of milestones from which you can choose.  You will earn points for completing activities within each milestone.  One point equals $1.00 in premium savings.  The number of points you earn depends on which milestones and activities you complete.  For some milestones, you will only have to finish one activity to earn points – like getting your annual flu shot.  For others, you may have to finish multiple activities in one program – like completing calls with a coach.

On the Points Program welcome page, click on your name and you will see the choice of milestones along with the number of points assigned to each.  Click on each milestone and you will learn what is required to earn points.  Each of you can earn up to 150 points semiannually (end of June and end of December).  You will receive a non-taxable premium subsidy payment, equal to the number of earned points, in your paycheck in February and August. Once you have reached that maximum for each period, you can continue to take part in the health improvement programs, but you will not earn additional points.

For most of the CIGNA programs, like health coaching calls, your points will be automatically reflected in your account summary upon completion.  For other milestones, such as get a yearly flu shot, you will self report the activity online and the points will be added to your account.

Although dependents (other than your spouse/partner) and early retirees are not eligible to earn points in this program, they are eligible to participate in the CIGNA online and telephonic programs.
