Through a grant from the Howard Hughes Medical Institute, the Wesleyan HHMI Program supports undergraduate education in the Life Sciences.

Program initiatives support:

  • Undergraduate science research, both independent and in advanced laboratory courses
  • Curricular development particularly for first year students and in interdisciplinary areas, including the intersection between art and science
  • Equipment for new faculty research and laboratory courses
  • Outreach activities to increase interest in science, including among groups underrepresented in the sciences
