Does the Equity & Inclusion Office have an events sponsorship fund?

The Department of Equity and Inclusion is dedicated to advancing diversity and full participation in all aspects of college-sponsored curricular and extracurricular activities. The department is developing a competitive application process to solicit proposals for innovative high impact programs designed to advance equity and inclusion at Wesleyan University. In the meantime, proposals should be mailed to Mrs. Trisha Stephenson Gordon at pblount_at_wesleyan.edu.  The department is interested in discussing potential programmatic collaborations with students, faculty, staff, and alumni.

What types of training workshops are available through the Equity & Inclusion Department?

The office develops customized workshops designed to foster effective communication and cultural competence, for students, staff and faculty.

Does the Equity & Inclusion Office hire students?

Yes, the departments manages the Dwight Greene Internships which employs one student to participate in the Dwight Greene Internship for Diversity & Community Engagement, and two students to coordinate the Dwight Greene Oral History Project.
