Wesleyan licenses two leading proprietary Course Management Systems: Blackboard and WebCT.  Additionally we also license WebBoard, a web-based collaboration tool.  Course Management Systems offer an integrated and secure space for collaborative work that is available across operating system platforms.  Faculty use Course Management Systems in a variety of ways: some use it minimally as a 'pre-packaged' course web page with syllabi, announcements, etc. while others make use of the many features available such as online quizzing, discussion and chat, gradebook management, document submission and so on.  Please visit http://www.wesleyan.edu/its/acs/cms.htt for more details.
