Email for Alumni
All graduates of Wesleyan have email accounts.
There are two email account conventions. If you had an email account while
you were a student at Wesleyan, or if you have requested an email account, your
username is most likely your first initial followed by your last name. For
example, John Wesley '02 would be jwesley@wesleyan.edu. This varies somewhat so
that all usernames are unique.
If you have never had an email
account, your email address was created with the first letter of your first
name, your last name, and the last 2 positions of your class year. For example,
John Doe '75 would be jdoe75@alumni.wesleyan.edu. Your username would be jdoe75.
Your initial email password has been set to your 6 digit Wesleyan ID number.
Email wesnet@wesleyan.edu
to:
- Determine the username and email address for your email account
- Have your password reset if you do not recall your most recent password
Managing Email Accounts: The WesNet Connection
As a B.A. graduate of Wesleyan, you have access to
a WesNet account, a place where you can maintain your contact and family
information and search for fellow alumni in the online directory.
Through WesNet, you may access email, change passwords, set up forwarding to
another email account, check campus calendars, and sign up for newsletters.

- Email Forwarding
You can set up or cancel email forwarding. This facility allows you to have
your Wesleyan email forwarded to another email address if you have a different
primary email address you prefer.
- Changing your Initial Password
You can reset your initial password by signing up for WesNet. It doesn't
matter if you know your email password or not. Once you are signed up for
WesNet, you can reset your password whenever you want. If you have trouble resetting
or changing your email password, you can send an email to
wesnet@wesleyan.edu.
- Accessing Your Email
You have many options of applications you may use to check email. You may use
Pine, Eudora, IMP,
any combination of these applications, or any other email application. Please remember
if you change your email password, you will need to use your
new password for all applications requiring your email password for
authentication, such as WesNet and Wescan. You can access IMP to send or check
your email through WesNet.
