Accessing Data on Dragon

Student PC Users:

Mapping the H: Drive (Home Directory) on Dragon:

NOTE:  You will not need to perform this procedure in the ITS Computer Labs - To start a session on a lab PC you will be required to log into your Wesleyan Domain (Dragon) account and the H: drive will be mapped for you automatically.

  1. Right-Click on My Computer and select Map Network Drive

  2. Select H from the Drive drop-down box

(Note: If your H: drive is already used by a hardware device in your computer, another available drive letter can be chosen)

  1. For the path, type in:

\\dragon\classyearhome   where classyear is the letter 's' followed by your 2-digit class year (ie. s05)

  1. Make sure that the Reconnect at logon box is checked

  2. Click Finish

  3. You will be asked to enter your username and password.  Your username must be preceded by "wesleyan\"   i.e. wesleyan\jsmith.   Your password is your email password.

If you have problems logging in, contact the Help Desk at x 4000 or Operations at x2128.  To change your password, log into your E-Portfolio and select Password Manager

  4. Once the file has been mapped, you can open it and you will see all of the student folders for your class year listed alphabetically.  Scroll down until you find your own home folder.
