Mac Email Naming Conventions
This page contains directions for setting the parameters for Mac
versions of Eudora. The parameter settings differ among versions
3, 4, 5 and 6 of Eudora. Choose the version of Eudora you have by clicking on
the links below and follow the directions. If you do not
know the version of Eudora on your computer, start Eudora and
click on the Help menu followed by "About Eudora". This will show
you the version of Eudora.
- It is important to note that these settings DO NOT change your
e-mail address - username@wesleyan.edu. They simply change the
names of the central computer to which you connect to download your e-mail and the
computer to which you direct outgoing mail.
- It is also important to note that if you use Eudora on
multiple machines, these changes have to be made on ALL machines.
- If you leave mail on the server, after
you make the changes described below all the mail that is left on the
server will be downloaded again to your Mac the next time you check your mail . If you do not want this to happen,
please contact your desktop support staff for help.
