Pine
Pine is an email program which accesses your email directly on the email
server, rather than copying it to your computer. It does not require
a specific software package installed on your computer - any telnet or SSH
program can be used to access it. Although it only uses a simple
text interface (no fancy graphics) it is easy to use and is the simplest way to
check your email when you are not at your own computer. The tipsheet
