Philosophy

The Academic Computing Labs, seven in total, strive to meet the needs of faculty and students alike. These labs offer high quality facilities for both teaching and learning, each one serving as a station of productivity with its own unique set of features—they differ in their layout, location, and technological resources, catering to a wide range of academic necessities and providing valuable training opportunities for motivated student employees.

Services

Students are provided with digital workstations to achieve any academic or extra-curricular goal—all of our labs are equipped with Intel Core Duo Macs and Dell PCs, alongside commercial-grade printers and scanners from Xerox, Epson, and Hewlett Packard.

For your multimedia endeavors, we offer a wide range of tools, including audio and video editing rooms, slide scanners, and full-size plotters. In addition, we provide up-to-date software such as Adobe’s Creative Suite 3, Apple’s Final Cut Studio 2, Finale, AutoCAD, and more.

Many of our labs are equipped with projectors and student work areas, offering faculty the opportunity to use our labs as open, educational spaces for high-tech, media-rich classroom instruction.
