PC - Adding a printer

You may need the Windows 2000 or XP CD if the LPR Printer Connectivity has not been installed. If LPR does not need to be installed, skip to Adding a printer.

Installing LPR

  1. In the Control Panel, choose Add/Remove Programs
  2. Select Add/Remove Windows Components
  3. Check Other Network File and Print Services
  4. Select Print Services for Unix
  5. Click Next and follow the instructions

Adding a printer

  1. Select the Local Printer Attached to this computer radio button.
  2. Select Create a new port and then LPR Port.
  3. In the fields enter falcon.wesleyan.edu for the server. Find the printer name here.
  4. Follow the instructions.
