The lab and classroom computers are not meant to be permanent storage facilities for your work or data. The Lab machines are imaged at least once per week. The schedule for the machine you are working on will be posted either on the workstation housing or on the wall of the row in which it resides. As a result all data will be lost at that time. However, in an effort to assist students with short-term data storage of papers and the sort, placing all data in the desktop shortcut Student Data will preserve your work until the machine is imaged.
