Media Database Guide
Assigning lecture information and alternative captions

  1. Select Work with Collections from the main menu to bring up the Collection Management page..
  2. Select Assign Lecture Info for the collection you wish to work with to bring up the following screen. You can record a lecture number (best) or name on which students can search for any item in the collection. The same item can be assigned to multiple lectures.

  3. Select Edit Collection to enter an alternate caption: a title and description which supersede the catalog information for this collection only. This allows you to use material that others have cataloged or to use your own cataloged materials differently in multiple collections.

  1. Additional keywords help others find media when searching within a collection.
  2. Collection notes pertain to a single item in a collection.
