What is Ruckus?

Ruckus is a subscription download service which provides access to 1.5 million
tracks of music from the five major labels and a number of independents. Users
may also subscribe to a download video service. All media is encrypted so that
it will cease to function after the subscription expires.
What does Ruckus cost?
Ruckus Music is free to Wesleyan students for the 2006-07 academic year.
Students may subscribe to the video service for an additional cost. Faculty and
staff may subscribe to Ruckus for $5.99/month, billed on a term basis. Alumni
may subscribe for $7.99/month.
Does Ruckus Music work with
Macs?
No. Ruckus Music is for PC users only.
Can Ruckus music be burned to
a CD?
Free Ruckus Music tracks can't be burned to a CD. Tracks may be permanently
downloaded/burned for $.79-.99 on average. Albums $9.99 on average.
Can Ruckus music be loaded on
an iPod?
No.
Do any MP3 players work with
Ruckus?
For an additional fee of $20 a semester,
tracks can be uploaded to any Windows 'Plays For Sure' subscription compatible
player, such as the Creative Zen Micro, or the iRiver H10 (www.playsforsure.com).

Yes, the Naxos Music Library is fully incorporated in Ruckus.
