Where do I get a telephone?
Anywhere you want -- all you need is a
touch-tone phone (Please be sure the Tone/Pulse (T/P) switch is
in the Tone (T) position.) from any department store.
If you want the convenience of buying a telephone on-campus you can
purchase phones at the Bookstore.
How do I sign up for telephone service?
Signing up is
simple. Just
plug a telephone into your room jack, initialize your voicemail box, and then register for telephone service on line in your
electronic portfolio.
You will be automatically entered into Wesleyan's online directory, the dial by
name directory (reached at x4636), and the voice recognition directory (reached
at x3700). Your line is already set up for on campus and local calling.
What if I
don't want telephone
service?
The $100/$125 per

and voicemail service. If you do not want telephone and voicemail service
don't initialize your voicemail box and do not register your room telephone in
your Electronic Portfolio. Your line will be automatically
disconnected in mid-September.
